We created a way for Microsoft to reach IT professionals and have meaningful interactions that were both intimate and scalable. It also allowed IT pros to connect with each other and fostered community to inspire increased loyalty. Visitors share stories via the video blog feature we built on top of Telligent's Community Server platform. Our rich user experience and site administration tools, leveraged the latest Silverlight technology and .NET framework. We leveraged Microsoft's free live streaming services to support scalable video architecture services, as well as a custom Silverlight video player and navigation system. We supported the worldwide launch of Windows 7 to the IT pro community with an events portal that made all major launch events accessible in a single Web page, built using WCF and jQuery, with content managed by eight different groups.
